Amped Up Returns to The Mile on August 24th

What sets Amped Up apart is that It’s a day of music run by young people, for young people created to showcase the raw, rising talent of the next generation of performers. At just 14 years old, organiser and performer Lucy Shaw is already making her mark in the local music scene. After successfully launching the first event on June 22nd, she’s back with a new lineup and a renewed mission: to give young performers a real platform to shine.

The first Amped Up was a huge success, drawing a vibrant crowd and an even more impressive roster of talent. The room was alive with energy, support, and the kind of passion you only get from artists doing what they love.

After a show-stopping debut earlier this summer, Amped Up is back, and it’s turning up the volume on the North East music scene. The next event hits The Mile in South Shields on Sunday, August 24th, and it promises to be bigger, bolder, and even more inspiring than before.

Speaking about her reasons for starting Amped Up, Lucy shared:

“I wanted to bring together young, up-and-coming performers like myself and give them a platform to shine, build confidence, and inspire others with their talent.”
